SPILL TAB RELEASES NEW SONG ‘DE GUERRE’
Los Angeles-based French-Korean artist spill tab offers a new preview of her highly anticipated debut album with the release of her latest single, De Guerre. The track follows the release of PINK LEMONADE late last year, which marked her signing to Because Music. Co-produced by spill tab (Claire Chicha) and apob, alongside Mikey Freedom Hart (Taylor Swift, Empress Of), De Guerre showcases the artist's signature blend of hyperpop eclecticism, fusing French spoken lyrics with a driving synth-bassline and pounding drums. The result is a dynamic soundscape punctuated by rapid-fire melodic motifs.
Describing the inspiration behind the track, spill tab explains, “De Guerre is my personal soundtrack to a chaotic night out on the town—dancing, sweating, going absolutely feral, indulging in my vices, ignoring every consequence, and just being in my body."
De Guerre and PINK LEMONADE are the first releases from spill tab since her 2023 EP, KLEPTO. That project followed a busy year, which included a stint opening for Sabrina Carpenter on the Emails I Can’t Send tour and a standout performance at Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase. Known for her high-energy live shows, spill tab quickly earned a reputation for captivating crowds with her electrifying stage presence.
Born Claire Chicha, the artist’s multicultural upbringing—raised by a French-Algerian composer father and a Korean pianist mother—instilled a deep musical foundation. Growing up in her parents’ post-production studio, Chicha was exposed to jazz, classical, and a variety of musical genres. A childhood spent between Los Angeles, Paris, and Thailand further shaped her sound, eventually leading to the creation of her distinct blend of raw, guitar-driven confessions and anthemic pop hooks.
