AIMEI 媚 RELEASES STUNNING NEW TRACK ‘ NEED U’
Emerging artist aimei 媚 (pronounced Eye-May) has unveiled her latest single, “Need U,” a track set to be one of the highlights of her upcoming headline performance at The Lower Third in London on October 22. The song is also the lead single from her highly anticipated EP Bloom, which is scheduled for release on October 25.
“Need U” is described as a heartfelt ode to evolving friendships, capturing the bittersweet nature of connections that leave an indelible mark on our lives. In a statement, aimei 媚 said the track reflects “the moments that shape us, reminding us that connections we once held close can stay with us, even with time and distance.” The song aims to bring a sense of warmth and light to the autumn season, in audio form.
Ahead of the EP release, aimei 媚 will headline her third London show of the year at The Lower Third. This performance follows two sold-out shows earlier in 2023—one at The Outernet’s The Forge in March and another at the Bermondsey Social Club in June.
Born in Beijing and raised between China and the UK’s North West, aimei 媚 now calls London home. Her music is a fusion of rich electronic production and traditional songwriting, drawing inspiration from the diverse cultural landscapes she’s experienced throughout her life.
