Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter zzzahara has shared the latest single and video, “If I Had To Go I Would Leave the Door Closed Half Way,” from the upcoming album Spiral Your Way Out, set for release on January 10, 2025, via Lex Records. Following the earlier release of lead single “Ghosts,” this track showcases zzzahara’s signature blend of sunlit guitars and soulful vocals, further refining their unique sound. “I was spitting. The guitar chords and bass really meshed together,” zzzahara reflects. “The lyrics were built up inside me, and once I hit the melody, we cleared it out quick—it just spit fire.”
Spiral Your Way Out captures zzzahara in the aftermath of a tumultuous relationship, detailing the emotional fallout of trying to conform to someone else’s expectations.
